Look before you leap is a song based on the Aesop fable, about a sly fox that falls into a well and tricks an innocent goat to help him get out. We used our imaginations to turn the plastic container into a well in the ground (& I ask that you do too!) The kids loved watching the puppet show and learning the actions to the chorus.

ACTIONS:
STEEP (diagonal hands going up) DEEP (flat hands going up above head) LOOK (hands up to eyes - like glasses) LEAP (hands dive in)

A fox fell into a well, well well well
And couldn’t get out, well well well
Along came a goat, bleat bleat bleat
Who asked if he could drink, bleat bleat bleat

The well’s too steep, The water’s too deep

The sly fox said jump in, to the well well well
