Carvers Audit! 128 years old but will there be drama?

Today we visit the Carvers, based in Wolverhampton

So I’m back again in Wolverhampton to take a look at a timber yard, a very old timber yard.

Starting as a small timber yard in Wolverhampton 128 years ago it has become a leading supplier of building materials, tools, landscaping, plumbing, heating and of course timber.

Founded in 1896 by Harry Carver the timber yard I'm here to see today is
of course Carvers Wolverhampton.

Now during the First World War Carvers saw a lot of change. First, it went from not having much business due to non-essential work being suspended and most of the workers being away at war.

Post-war having a high demand for housing increased demand again. Due to this demand, Carvers had to move sites a number of times till settling on their current home, the Littles Lane site.

But on the 29th Feb 2012 disaster struck Carvers when a huge fire engulfed the original site and the business was looking like it was set to be destroyed.

But in true Wolverhampton grit and determination, Henry and his group of Directors had a plan for the future and in 2014 a new, state-of-the-art builders village was unveiled with a Drive Thru warehouse (the first in the Midlands) and the company has gone from strength to strength.

So let's look around, and then we will take the drone up and take a good look from above.
