講談社のグローバルパーパス「Inspire Impossible Stories」のアンバサダーの堀米雄斗がリバプールを訪れました。

初めて訪れたこの地で、堀米さんが次に目指すものとは？　彼の新たな挑戦に込められた想いを、リバプールの街で語ります。

今回のプロジェクトは、講談社とリバプールFCとのパートナーシップから生まれた、前例のない試み。幼少期からのスケート仲間である岸海さん、そして渡米後に深い絆を築いたフィルマー、ブレイデン・ゴンザレスさんと共に、堀米さんはリバプールで地元のスケーターたちと出会い、交流を深めていきます。

さらに、歴史的なアンフィールド・スタジアムを訪れると、リバプールFCに所属する遠藤航選手と長野風花選手が堀米さんを出迎えます。異なるスポーツで頂点を目指すトップアスリートたちが、リバプールという地で共鳴し合う特別な瞬間を捉えました。

映像には、堀米さんが愛する漫画作品『進撃の巨人』や『ガチアクタ』も登場し、彼のインスピレーションの源を垣間見ることができるでしょう。

さまざまな縁と想いが重なり合って生まれたこの物語。講談社の「Inspire Impossible Stories」、スケートボードの「Never Been Done」、そしてリバプールFCの「You'll Never Walk Alone」が一つになり、全く新しいカルチャーの交差点が生まれました。

Yuto Horigome, the ambassador of Kodansha's global purpose "Inspire Impossible Stories," visited Liverpool.

What is the next goal that Horigome aims for in this city he's visiting for the first time? He shares his thoughts on his new challenges as he walks through the streets of Liverpool.

This project is an unprecedented collaboration born from the partnership between Kodansha and Liverpool FC. Alongside his childhood skateboarding friend, Kai Kishi, and filmmaker Braden Gonzales, with whom he built a deep bond after moving to the U.S., Horigome meets and connects with local skaters in Liverpool.

Additionally, when visiting the historic Anfield Stadium, Horigome is greeted by Wataru Endo and Fuka Nagano, athletes from Liverpool FC. This special moment captures top athletes from different sports resonating with each other in the city of Liverpool.

The video also features the manga Attack on Titan and Gachi Akuta, two works that inspire Horigome, offering a glimpse into the sources of his creativity.

This story was born from a confluence of many relationships and ideas. Kodansha's "Inspire Impossible Stories," skateboarding’s "Never Been Done," and Liverpool FC's "You'll Never Walk Alone" come together to create a brand-new cultural intersection.
