Gulshan Karim and Faisal Rahim sing "Durz-e-Daryayi Haqiqat", a qasida written by Nasir Khusraw, 11th Century Fatimid Period Persian poet, philosopher, Ismaili scholar, traveler and one of the greatest writers in Persian literature.

This qasida is being presented as the second episode under the "Unleash Your Hidden Talent" series by JollyGul which is an initiative led by Dr. Karim Gillani to identify, support and amplify the voices of artists who can benefit from this intervention.

Our plan is to scale this program up in 2023. Our involvement does not involve any cost to the artists, is open to all (non-denominational) and consists of production help and distribution expertise. We request young artists from all parts of the world to contact us through our website - information provided in the description section of this video.

Gulshan Karim (20) is a talented singer originally from Hunza, Pakistan. Gulshan has been learning music for the last four years and would like to pursue music and singing as a career in future. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor's degree in Lahore, Pakistan.

Faisal Rahim (14) is currently in grade eight. His family is originally from Hunza, Pakistan but he was born in Lahore. He has been playing music since he was eight years old. He likes to beatbox (inspired by Islamuddin) as well as act and sing devotional qasidas and ginans. Beatboxing is a form of vocal percussion primarily involving the art of mimicking drum machines, using one's mouth, lips, tongue, and voice. We will request Faisal to beatbox on JollyGul someday!
