This is a brilliant Defender clone for the PET. Written in 1982 by Kevin Pickell of the Vancouver PET user's club.
Excellent presentation throughout with it's animated titles screen, several instruction screens, and even an animated keyboard command screen.
As with Defender, you have thrust, shoot, smart bombs, hyper space, and movement in all directions (with varying thrust speed). You also have the enemies trying to capture your humanoids from the bottom of the screen which you can rescue if captured by shooting the enemy, collecting the humanoid, and placing them safely back on the planet.
There is a scanner at the top that shows where you are and the enemies and humanoid.
Enemies explode when shot, and some even split up into smaller enemies.
If you lose all the humanoids the planet explodes (I think that's what's happening) and you end up in deep space shooting enemies until you clear them all.
