1. Here is used a Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 (x64) (English) ISO file (Media Refresh 2011) (Build 7601.17514.101119-1850).

Unfortunately Windows 7 ISOs are no longer available to download from Microsoft.

3. Drag and drop the ISO file onto UpdatePack7R2 and wait to get a ready-made updated ISO file.

When the operation is completed successfully a detailed log of the updates is generated in the %WinDir%\UpdatePack7.log file.

Notes:

With this method, integration is performed only for one index (EditionID specified in ei.cfg) in install.wim.

This method will not allows you to integrate updates to all indexes contained in install.wim.

UpdatePack7R2 does not remove an already installed patch or stop the update service.

Updates themselves can be integrated on wim source with any language.

Windows 7 will be fully updated, with exception of few hotfixes that cannot be integrated.

Not all updates can be integrated offline, so they are automatically installed after windows installation is finished.

Not all updates can be integrated but they do not affect the security of the system.
