WECKENMANN | Leier Baustoffe invests in automated pallet circulation system

High-quality precast concrete elements for the Vienna residential construction market are produced on a modern, highly automated pallet circulation plant. Based in Horitschon in Burgenland, Austria, Leier Baustoffe GmbH & Co. KG recently invested in a new precast concrete manufacturing plant near the group's headquarters.

After many discussions with various suppliers by the Leier management, the choice fell on the renowned plant and machinery manufacturer WECKENMANN Anlagentechnik GmbH & Co. KG from Germany. The plant technology is completed by the Vienna-based control system manufacturer RIB-SAA, which has already been a reliable partner of the Leier Group in other plants.

Only 12 months after the order was placed, the first semi-finished parts were produced on the plant in September 2021 and the plant output was successively ramped up. Thanks to a high degree of automation, a sophisticated plant concept and ergonomic working conditions, only a few employees are required in the compact plant. On 70 formwork pallets, each with a production area of 3 x 8.7 m, up to ten pallets of precast floor slabs or seven pallets of double-walled walls can be produced every hour. This corresponds to approx. 200 square meters per hour.


Leier Baustoffe investiert in automatisierte Paletten-Umlaufanlage

Auf einer modernen, hoch automatisierten Paletten-Umlaufanlage werden qualitativ erstklassige Betonfertigteile für den Wiener Wohnungsbaumarkt gefertigt. Die in Horitschon im Burgenland, Österreich, ansässige Firma Leier Baustoffe GmbH & Co. KG investierte kürzlich nahe dem Stammsitz der Firmengruppe in eine neue Produktionsstädte zur Betonfertigteilherstellung.

Nach vielen Gesprächen mit verschiedenen Anbietern durch die Leier – Geschäftsführung, fiel die Wahl auf den renommierten Anlagen- und Maschinenbauer WECKENMANN Anlagentechnik GmbH & Co. KG aus Deutschland. Komplettiert wird die Anlagentechnik durch den in Wien ansässigen Steuerungsbauer RIB-SAA, welcher bereits schon in anderen Werken ein verlässlicher Partner der Leier – Gruppe ist.

Bereits 12 Monate nach Auftragserteilung wurden im September 2021 die ersten Halbfertigteile auf der Anlage hergestellt und die Anlagenleistung sukzessive hochgefahren. Mittels hohem Automatisierungsgrad, ausgeklügeltem Anlagenkonzept und ergonomischen Arbeitsbedingungen sind in der kompakten Anlage nur wenige Mitarbeiter notwendig. Auf 70 Schalungspaletten mit einer Fertigungsfläche von je 3 x 8,7 m können stündlich bis zu zehn Paletten Elementdecken oder sieben Paletten Doppelwand-wände gefertigt werden. Das entspricht ca. 200 qm /h.
