I made black sesame soup — a warm, rich, and nutty dessert that’s deeply loved in both China and Korea. In China, it’s known as zhi ma hu, often served hot as a sweet comfort dish. In Korea, you’ll find it enjoyed as heukimja-juk, typically smooth and earthy.
This was my first time making it — and tasting it. Was it sweet? Too nutty? Watch till the end to find out how it turned out and what I honestly thought.
