A Hartbeespoort lawyer who fell victim to a racist attack at a boating club four years ago says the government has a lot of work to do in order to tackle racism in the area. This comes after the Human Rights Commission launched the Social Harmony Through National Effort campaign, aimed at tackling racism, gender-based violence, xenophobia and other social ills.
The racist perpetrator is now serving two years for assault and crimen injuria.
