Warmup Pro Installation

This video takes you through the steps for a fast and easy installation of the heated decoupling system from Warmup.

1) Prepare floor surface, if installing directly on the subfloor sweep away any dust and ensure surface is clear and dry. Optional: installing insulation boards on the subfloor will improve performance.

2) Install perimeter strip around the perimeter of the room. Cut mat to size, peel off the backing in one corner and tack in place, remove backing completely and press down once properly aligned.

3) Test the resistance of the heater ensuring it is within the correct resistance band range.

4) Install the heating cable at the chosen spacing, minimum 60mm. Maintain a perimeter spacing of half of the chosen cable spacing.

5) Channel a groove in the mat and subfloor for the cold tail & termination joints, enabling them to fit flush with the top of the mat.

6) Install the floor sensor centrally between two runs of the heater. Test the resistance of the heating cable after installation and check against the previous value to ensure no damage has occurred.

7) The chosen floor covering can now be laid onto the system. For tiles, cover the system directly with tile adhesive and tile over.

8) Alternatively, self-levelling compound can be poured directly onto the system and then covered with the floor finish of choice. The heater, including its joints, must be wholly within the adhesive or self-levelling compound and not exposed.

9) Finally, test the resistance of the heating cable against previous values to ensure no damage has occurred. The DCM-PRO System can now be connected to the chosen thermostat.
