When you saddle your horse, make the process easy and comfortable. Have patience with your horse and allow them to understand everything that you are doing. If you have a green or young horse, desensitize them first with the blanket and slowly make your way up to the saddle. It is important that they understand that you are not going to hurt them with it.

As always it takes time, patience, and consistency.
