How to Chum and Fish for Yellowtail Snapper at Night

Описание к видео How to Chum and Fish for Yellowtail Snapper at Night

Yellowtail snappers are easy to distinguish by the bright yellow stripe that runs down their side and carries all the way into their tail. They are absolutely delicious to eat and can be a blast to catch if you get them schooled up behind the boat. While they can be caught drifting, anchoring and fishing with heavy chum is the best way to target them.

Chumballing is a popular technique when yellowtail fishing. With a combination of chum, glass minnows, you can form a compact ball of chum that can be sent to the bottom. As the chum ball falls it slowly breaks apart and helps to pull the yellowtail off the bottom and up to the surface.

In this video, we demonstrate two different types of rigs that can be fished for yellowtails. One is designed to target them on the surface, and the other is meant to be fished on the bottom. Yellowtail fishing is a great family activity and the kids will have a blast if you get into a good bite! Enjoy the video and remember to LIKE, COMMENT, and SUBSCRIBE!!!
