7/16/23 UPDATE: I changed the SD and downloaded Datafrog's firmware update, but this did not fix the problem. It's possible my 4 y.o. had dropped the device badly, causing a hardware issue.

7/26/23 UPDATE: At $15, we simply bought a new one. It came in like 6 days.

11/30/23 UPDATE: 4 months later, the new Data Frog still works flawlessly. My son plays Mario Kart daily :-)
