💥Rare Occasion💥 4L80E to 4L60E Harness Conversion

Описание к видео 💥Rare Occasion💥 4L80E to 4L60E Harness Conversion

The owner of the C/10 that I’m currently LS swapping, got a great deal on this brand new harness, computer, and some other Dakota Digital goodies that help interpret what the computer is saying to these “Classic” gauges.

You know what they say, no good deal goes unpunished…. Or something like that.

Turns out this harness and computer is setup for a Drive by Cable and 4L80E Transmission. Well as those of you who have been following along already know, this 5.3 is mated to a 4L60E and came with an Electronic throttle body. (Drive by Wire - DBW)

So swap out the throttle body no big deal. Just ensure your PCM has the proper drivers associated with the type of throttle body you’re using. In our case, our computer is right for this harness/application. Minus the fact, we will have to segment swap the Transmission portion of the tune. In order to properly control the 4L60E.

The sole purpose of this video was to help someone out who may have got a mismatched parts list and didn’t even know it.

Example 1: You get a complete engine (only) pullout from a 2500HD series GM Truck. You got the 6.0, but the trans wiring harness will be configured for an 80E.

Example 2: You get a complete engine (only) pullout from a Yukon Denali. You got the 6.0, but the trans wiring harness will be configured for a 60E.

Now onto the trans portion of this harness, because essentially all GEN 3 harnesses are going to be the same with a few exceptions. One that usually will get you is the injector connector. But those are easily adaptable.

We had to convert this trans harness from 80E to 60E. Typically the modification is the exact opposite, but we make it work‼️
