2024 NYOH Residency Program

Описание к видео 2024 NYOH Residency Program

The Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons has earned a reputation as one of the leading academic orthopedic departments in the nation. Our rich tradition in Orthopedic Surgery dates back to 1866 when the New York Orthopaedic
Dispensary–later named the New York Orthopaedic Hospital opened its doors. Today, the department is a preeminent center for quality patient care, education, and research.

This video offers prospective residents a comprehensive overview of our five-year program, including an optional six-year research track. Competition for acceptance into this elite training program in one of the country’s top academic medical centers is fierce. Candidates who match with Columbia Orthopedics will find a supportive, yet challenging community of dedicated faculty, clinicians, scientists and fellow residents.

The training of residents is one of our most important missions—and we are very proud that many of today’s leading orthopedic surgeons throughout the United States and abroad have trained at Columbia. Upon graduation, residents join our vast alumni network which includes many past and present leaders in orthopedic surgery, who have made remarkable contributions to the field.
