Dos And Don'ts For Launching Your Boat At The Ramp

Do you find it stressful when you have a boat and need to launch it? We do it every day, so a trip to the ramp is like riding a bike for us. To help make it a bit easier we break the process down to our list of dos And don'ts for launching your boat at the ramp. In this video, we cover:

0:19 - Don't wait to do your "prep" at the boat ramp
0:45 - Don't forget the drain plug
0:59 - Do remove your safety straps from trailering
1:06 - Do remove your boat cover and stow it away
1:16 - Do turn on your battery switch, run your blower, and test-fire your engine
1:39 - Don't back the trailer too far in or not far enough
1:54 - Don't try to do this by yourself if possible
2:11 - Do put the vehicle in park and set the brake
2:17 - Do start your engine, and check for leaks, shifting, etc.
2:30 - Do unhook the boat from the trailer winch and back the boat away
2:38 - Do remove your truck and trailer as soon as possible from the ramp
2:45 - Do lock your vehicle and trailer
