You can now set up a likeness detection tool in Studio, which surfaces unauthorized videos made with your facial likeness on YouTube. It’s there to help you detect, manage, and request removal if needed.

This new likeness detection feature helps you:

• Identify where your likeness shows up:
See if others are using your face in videos made with AI. This feature works even if there are multiple creators on your channel.
• Safeguard your identity:
Request removal of unauthorized content that violates YouTube’s Privacy Guidelines.
• Protect your viewers:
Keep your audience from being misled about you.

Keep in mind, the likeness detection feature looks across YouTube for the faces that appear in your channel’s videos. If you’re getting this as a channel manager who doesn’t appear in your videos, share this with the creators who appear on camera on your channel so they can start using this new tool.

Get started:
For each person who appears on camera and would like to enroll, follow these steps:

1. In YouTube Studio, from the left menu, select Content detection and go to the new Likeness tab.
2. Grant YouTube permission to use biometric technology.
3. Provide a government-issued ID and a brief video of your face.
