Zeewolf is a 3D tactical shooter from Binary Asylum; a mix of skill, strategy and puzzle solving. We played this in the compo a while ago and it still hasn't lost its charm.

As mentioned in last weeks notes, the final few games of this seasons show were all recorded way back sometime in 2013, and I want to sweep the decks of this material ready for a possible season 3 next year. I grew to adore this game, and even more so the sequel, and so it was only right that it should find its way into a review. The recorded footage went on for quite some time, so this was edited down to a good size, although I used the WHDLoad level skip function so that I didnt have to play this through for hours. That is not to say some of the later missions don't take 4 or 5 lives each; so the player must have played this straight (i.e. without passwords as they only give back 3 lives) to stand a chance.

The video edit was started last weekend and was done in a day, with the voice-over following on Monday. I then spent Tuesday until Thursday making the Terramex review for the C64 channel, and as this took a lot of time making all the captions I didnt have too much time to work on this video Thurs and Fri. I fixed a fair few bugs and managed to balance most of the audio (although there are still a few quiet places). I also added all the usual scroll credits and the score, plus a couple of pictures from the Airwolf TV show. You may notice the second caption reads "You killed my Brother!". This is in reference to the game (having just lost a life) and NOT the TV show (where his brother St.John Hawk comes back and takes over Season 4!).

Again the Comparison Zone was shoe-horned in there, as well as the on-screen display showing the names of all the items e.g. Radar, Gun Camera etc; which was the last thing to be added before release. There wasnt much I could do to add extra spice to this video, and I looked into adding animations of the Airwolf helicopter buzzing through the scene, but there wasn't a good animation or rip of the helicopter in action to I dumped that idea pretty quickly.
