As the third generation of shepherds in his family, David wakes before dawn to go to school and then guide his flock through the hills of rural Romania in Sibiu County.
While most kids his age are playing and scrolling through social media, David is learning the value of hard work, discipline and heritage.

This short documentary offers a rare glimpse into the life of a young boy growing up in a world where tradition still rules and the future is carved by hand-one step at a time, one sheep at a time.

The action takes place deep in the Carpathian Mountains, in the region of Transylvania, Romania.
