In the fall of 2014 I uploaded another tutorial concerned with a shell script I had written for a flat-file database. ("fields.awk")
This tutorial concerns a very different script, but the two have in common the trait of being "general-use". That is, I believe either of them can serve as frequent-use handy utilities by anyone with a Linux desktop or laptop computer.
