Dittinger Flugtage 2024 Sunday / Show & Fly out

Due to the bad weather, the program was reduced on Sunday, but it was still a great afternoon. The OV-10 Bronco showed a slightly better display than on Saturday, this time also with a short landing, which it did not do on Saturday. I particularly liked the solo display of the Pilatus PC-6/350-H2 Porter, the predecessor of the famous Pilatus Turbo Porter. The original Pilatus Porter is still powered by a 340 hp Lycoming 6-cylinder boxer engine and, despite its take-off weight of 2200 kg, only needs a 300 m runway length. With a landing speed of just over 70 km/h, it has a landing roll of less than 100 m! The HB-FAN is the only Pilatus Porter with a piston engine that is still active.

Despite the difficult weather, it was three wonderful days at Dittingen airfield.
