As part of our commitment to honoring and celebrating Native American Heritage Month, the Community Habitat team organized a special event featuring Rowen White, Creative Director of Sierra Seeds and founder of the Indigenous SeedKeepers Network.
Centering Indigenous leaders within environmental movements has always been, and will always be, critical for successful conservation efforts and community engagement. This special event focuses on pathways and connections between food sovereignty, land-based relationships, conservation, and the resulting benefits for biodiversity. Join us and Rowen White to cultivate methods for engaging your community in seed-stewardship, and become part of the native seed solution throughout your ecoregion. During this event we will be releasing a brand-new Seed Keeping Info-Sheet with helpful tips to guide all partners and volunteers in safely saving seeds from your pollinator gardens.
