Favorite Family Read-Alouds | Books for All Ages | Secular Homeschool

Описание к видео Favorite Family Read-Alouds | Books for All Ages | Secular Homeschool

What did we miss? I had my kids pick their favorite books we've read together over the past several years, and these are the ones they picked. Many of them went with unit studies, but some I read with the kids one-on-one. If you're looking for some great books to read with your family, this list is a great place to star. What would you add to the list? Which of these are you adding to your must-read list?

Watch my video on YouTube to find out more about each of these titles.

___ Great Places to Get Books ____

Local Library - I realize this isn't an option for everyone, but I heavily utilize our library. If they don't have books you want, especially if they are newer, request them! Libraries want to fill their shelves with books their patrons want to read and are normally happy to fulfill book requests. If they don't have a book and it's too old for them to get, they can often get books via interlibrary loan as well.

Libby App - The Libby app is a great way to have access to free audio books as well as e-books. You can use a library card from anywhere (some places will give you library cards online reguardless of where you live), and access thousands of audio books and e-books to check out for free.

Better World Books - I love what this company stands for. You can buy used or new books from small bookstores, and support getting books in the hands of those who need them. What more could you ask for? https://www.betterworldbooks.com

Thrift Books - They offer a massive selection of used books. Earn free shipping with purchases of $10 or more as well as points you can use on future purchases. https://www.thriftbooks.com/

Book Outlet - I often get the BEST deals by shopping at Book Outlet. They offer discount pricing on new books in great condition. They often have sales on top of their already low prices, and you can earn rewards to redeem on coupons for future purchases. This link gives you a $5 coupon to use on your first order of $25 or more. (I'll get a $5 coupon too!). Shipping is always free for orders over $35. https://bookoutlet.com/loyalty/referr...

Bookshop.org When you buy a book from bookshop.org you can choose a local bookstore to support. This is better for authors and booksellers, keeping the community strong.

Libro.fm - Like bookshop.org, libro.fm seeks to support local book economies through the purchase of audio books. Choose a local bookstore to support or let libro pick one for you. Use this referall code to help me get more fantastic books to review for you: https://libro.fm/referral?rf_code=lfm...

I’m Laura, homeschooling mom to three. I’m excited to share our child led, literature based, unit study approach to homeschooling. No two homeschools look the same. My hope is that by sharing my journey, I can offer support, encouragement, and inspiration to help you think outside the box to create a dynamic homeschool experience tailored to your family.
