Pumping The Manure Lagoon Out/ New Holland Power

Описание к видео Pumping The Manure Lagoon Out/ New Holland Power

On our small dairy farm, all of our manure from our barn goes to a holding lagoon. Once a year, we hire a great group of guys to spread that manure onto our fields. It's a smelly job, but someone has to do it right? Well, it's that time of the year. Marten's Farm Inc. gets right to work! With their fleet of New Holland Tractors and Homemade Monster Pump, the work goes fast. The manure lagoon is stirred to break up any dry areas, then the manure is pumped through hoses up to a tractor that injects the manure into the ground while discing it in. It's a great fertilizer for our corn.

Trinity Dairy was established in 2006, in Minnesota. Alan and Jennifer farm with their 5 children; Jessica, Justin, Jordan, Joshua, and Jason. We milk a mix of 33 Jersey, Holstein, Brown Swiss, Guernsey, and Ayrshire cattle. We also enjoy sharing our family's love of Draft Horses and using them for logging and other farm work. Dairy Farming in Minnesota can be challenging, but it's a lifestyle we really enjoy.
