Rep. Devin Nunes, the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, said that military aid to Ukraine has been more "robust" under President Donald Trump than it was under former President Barack Obama. Nunes also criticized the Democrats over the impeachment proceedings, that are now in their fifth day. "How do we have an impeachable offense here when there's no actual misdeed and no one even claiming to be a victim?" Nunes said. "The democrats have tried to solve this dilemma with a simple slogan-- 'He got caught.'" Nunes spoke ahead of testimony from Fiona Hill, the Trump administration’s former Russia adviser, and David Holmes, a top staffer at the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine, on Nov. 21 in a public hearing as part of the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump. The impeachment inquiry has focused on a July 25 phone call in which Trump asked the president of Ukraine to investigate former vice president and 2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden and his son, Hunter.
