Скачать или смотреть 2006 Mercedes E55 AMG Air Strut Alert - Reman Arnott with Major Rust after 7k miles

Here’s a quick look at my w211 2006 E55 AMG front air strut that has been on the car for about 7000 miles. It’s a reman part from Arnott and I’m extremely disappointed due to the large amount of rust on the metal components of the strut. Makes me question the longevity of the item seeing how the original strut lasted for 15 years and I don’t recall this must rust on the body. The original air strut are Bilstein (please correct me if I’m wrong) and was not available on the FCP Euro website when I made the purchase.

The Arnott strut are no longer available for sale from FCP website but the Bilstein is now available but almost three times the cost. From the looks of all that rust on the Arnott strut, maybe it’s worth it switching over to Bilstein if it’s going to last as long as the original unit (a little over 15 years!)? What do you think?
