This filming model was the most frequent "guest star" ship design in all of Star Trek, having been featured in The Search for Spock and The Undiscovered Country films, as well as various episodes of The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine and Voyager.

This Enterprise-B filming model was sold by HeroProp.com in 2018 for $1,000,000 USD, shattering the previous world record for the highest price realized in Star Trek memorabilia. The previous record was $575,000 USD for the Enterprise-D filming model sold in 2006 by Christie's auction house.

This impressive 7.5 foot filming model was created by the talented artists at Industrial Light & Magic under the supervision of expert model makers Steve Gawley and Bill George.

The Excelsior model featured a number of registrations throughout the films and series such as the USS Excelsior NX - 2000, USS Hood, USS Fearless, USS Cario and of course the USS Enterprise 1701-B.
