Dr. Sanjeev K. Singh currently serves as Medical Superintendent at School of Medicine, Amrita University(Health Sciences Campus), Kochi.

The global emergence of drug resistance bacteria has become a major threat. One of the main reasons for this is overuse and/or misuse of antibiotics. Additionally the lack of new drug development by the pharma industry due to reduced economic incentives and challenging regulatory requirements has also been implicated in leading to this crisis. Moreover the mechanisms underlying pathogenesis is a complex puzzle needing to be solved.
