Reliance has started rolling out 100 GB of free cloud storage for all Jio customers as part of its Jio AI Cloud Welcome Offer, which was first announced at Reliance’s 47th annual general meeting (AGM). Both prepaid and postpaid Jio users can access this benefit through the JioCloud app, available on Android, iOS, and the web. Previously, JioCloud offered only 5 GB of free storage, but this has now been upgraded to 100 GB at no additional cost during the welcome offer period.

This move positions JioCloud as a competitive alternative to other major platforms. For comparison, Google Drive offers 15 GB of free storage, while Apple iCloud and Microsoft OneDrive provide 5 GB each. Notably, Google charges ₹130 per month or ₹1,300 per year for 100 GB, and Apple charges ₹219 per month for 200 GB, making Jio's offer significantly more attractive for users seeking free storage.

To redeem the offer, users need to update to the latest version of the MyJio app. Once the app is opened, a pop-up or banner displaying the offer will appear. Users can click on this to activate their 100 GB JioCloud storage. To fully utilize this offer, customers must also download and use the JioCloud app to manage their cloud storage. While this offer is free for now, it's possible that Jio may introduce a subscription fee for continued access in the future.
