Seattle Graffiti & Streets | A Photo Walk Through The Capitol Hill Neighborhood

With all the protests and the pandemic happening in Seattle, my friend and I decided to do a photo walk through the Capitol Hill neighborhood which is infamous for the CHAZ (Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone) or even known as CHOP (Capitol Hill Occupied Protest). Walking around post protests revealed the aftermath of what has happened. To some, this place looks horrid. But to us, we saw beauty.

Through the struggles, graffiti art has flourished with strong messages of opposition against police oppression. Street art reminds us of the things that should matter. Is it vandalism? In a way it can be, but how else can people who aren't allowed to have the spotlight on them raise their voice?
