Is it possible to add text to paths and shapes in Adobe Photoshop? Well, the answer is of course yes! In this video we'll be delving into how you can use the Pen Tool to create paths as well as create paths from simple shapes and then apply text objects to them to create interesting designs!

PHOTOSHOP SHORTCUTS
Pen tool: P
Path selection tool: A
Type tool: T
Shape tools: U
Select all text: Cmd + A... (Windows: Ctrl + A)

✅ VIDEO SUMMARY
To create a path, simply select the Pen Tool (P) on the left hand toolbar and then create multiple points on your canvas, between which Photoshop will add lines forming a path. To create a simple shape, go to the Shape Tools (U) on the left hand toolbar and select from either the Rectangle Tool, Ellipse Tool, Triangle Tool, Polygon Tool or Line Tool. Then draw the shape on your canvas. Make sure you've first set it create a "Path", not a "Shape". Next go to the Type (or also known as Text) Tool. Click once on the path and type your characters to form text on the path!
