A quick clip of my 1992 Honda Prelude getting some heart surgery. Took a maintenance opportunity to upgrade the valve train components. Engine is still "factory", so stock P13 pistons with 10.6:1 static compression. Had Euro R camshafts which were switched out for Jun Stage III camshafts. The engine has a whole range of boltons, highest dyno readout was 143wkw and quickest 1/4mile time was 14.43 @ 158km/h.


The new valve train has been run-in and after a light street tune (P72 ECU on Neptune + Fuel pressure regulator + SAFCII + AEM Wideband), off to the drag strip. The Juns didn't perform as well as they should. The best 1/4 mile time with them in was 15.2@152km/h (which is about as fast as this car was in 100% stock trim, haha, internal crying). Hopefully I can get some more out of the engine, but maybe too much cam for stock compression, or cam timing is out a heap which would drop dynamic compression. More work to be done.
