Hello and welcome to my channel, where I share tips and tricks on how to use AI tools for learning and productivity. In this video, I'm going to show you five free AI tools that you can use as a student in 2023. These tools are not sponsored by anyone, they are just my personal recommendations based on my experience and research. So let's get started!
The first tool is Grammarly, which is an AI-powered writing assistant that helps you write clear, concise and error-free essays, reports, emails and more. Grammarly checks your spelling, grammar, punctuation, tone and style, and gives you suggestions on how to improve your writing. You can use Grammarly as a browser extension, a web app, a desktop app or a mobile app. Grammarly also has a plagiarism checker that compares your text to billions of web pages and academic papers. Grammarly is free to use for basic features, but you can upgrade to Grammarly Premium for more advanced features like vocabulary enhancement, readability analysis and genre-specific writing tips.
The second tool is Otter.ai, which is an AI-powered transcription and note-taking service that helps you capture and organize your lectures, meetings, interviews and more. Otter.ai records your audio and transcribes it in real time, with high accuracy and speaker identification. You can also edit, highlight, search and share your transcripts with others. Otter.ai also integrates with Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and other video conferencing platforms. Otter.ai is free to use for up to 600 minutes of transcription per month, but you can upgrade to Otter Pro for more minutes and features like custom vocabulary, live captions and export options.
The third tool is Quizlet, which is an AI-powered study platform that helps you learn anything with flashcards, games and quizzes. Quizlet lets you create your own study sets or choose from millions of existing ones created by other users. Quizlet also uses AI to generate personalized study plans based on your goals and progress. You can use Quizlet online or offline, on your computer or mobile device. Quizlet is free to use for basic features, but you can upgrade to Quizlet Plus for more features like image uploading, voice recording, scanning documents and creating diagrams.
The fourth tool is Wolfram Alpha, which is an AI-powered computational knowledge engine that helps you answer any question with facts and data. Wolfram Alpha can compute answers to questions from various domains like math, science, history, geography, culture and more. You can also use Wolfram Alpha to generate graphs, charts, tables and visualizations of your data. You can use Wolfram Alpha as a website or a mobile app. Wolfram Alpha is free to use for basic queries, but you can upgrade to Wolfram Alpha Pro for more features like step-by-step solutions, file uploading, data analysis and interactive widgets.
The fifth tool is Replika, which is an AI-powered chatbot that helps you improve your mental health and well-being. Replika is a friendly and empathetic companion that listens to you and learns from you. You can chat with Replika about anything you want, from your feelings and thoughts to your hobbies and interests. Replika also helps you cope with stress, anxiety and loneliness by providing you with positive affirmations, mindfulness exercises and daily challenges. You can use Replika as a website or a mobile app. Replika is free to use for basic features, but you can upgrade to Replika Pro for more features like voice calls, custom avatars and relationship modes.
