How to Dye Your Hair from Black to Brown l Revlon Light Ash Blonde Dye on Black Hair

Описание к видео How to Dye Your Hair from Black to Brown l Revlon Light Ash Blonde Dye on Black Hair

In this hair dye coloring tutorial, I’ll show you how to dye your hair from black to brown without bleach. I’m using Revlon Colorsilk Light Ash Blonde dye on my virgin black hair. I know that dark hair is very difficult to lighten, so I know this dye won’t turn my hair blonde (it will be a light brown at most). The results gave me a medium brown reddish color that’s brighter in the sunlight. At first, the brown was more neutral but over a few months, it faded to be more brassy. If you plan to use this dye, I’d recommend retouching your roots and freshening up the color after 1-2 months. I hope this is helpful and feel free to check out my other hair coloring tutorials. :)

Tips on dyeing your hair at home:
1. Leave your hair unwashed for a few days before dyeing your hair. Your natural oils will help to protect your hair from the harsh chemicals.
2. Wear a shirt you don’t mind getting dirty. You can rub Vaseline along your hairline to prevent the dye from staining your skin.
3. Hair dye develops faster at your roots because it’s newly grown hair and there’s heat there. Therefore, DO NOT start coloring your hair at your roots or it will turn out brighter. Start from the bottom and move up.
4. To get a deep and rich hair color, you must saturate your hair well with the hair dye. If your hair is long and thick, you may need 2-3 boxes of dye.
5. If possible, get someone to help you apply the dye. Since they can see the back of your head better, they’ll make sure that you won’t miss a spot.
6. If you’re unsure about how the results will turn out, you can do a test section first. Mix a little dye with developer and apply it on a section of your hair from top to bottom. Then, foil this off for 30 minutes and rinse. The results will give you a better idea of how the dye will react to your hair.
7. If you think you’ll be sensitive to the chemicals, then do an allergy test first.
8. Take note that the dye may react differently on my hair than it does on yours, so take that into consideration. For best results, do tons of research first.

Good luck! :)
