A song about looking back at all the difficult things that’ve happened in your life, and taking a bird’s eye view of your trajectory in life. You see how you’re moving along and how you need to keep moving, because shadows and darkness change around you as you go - life is change. But in the end the wish of the song is a longing for less, and to be happier with less in life. The craving for that pure empty space where all the drama fades away and you feel clear, and satisfied in the experience of that emptiness that you long for when life is too full. More often than not this is a grass is greener situation. Asking for “more nothing” is also asking for more time and more willingness to meditate, to slow thoughts down, and spend time going to places like the “unified field” in transcendental meditation. Asking myself personally as well as any higher powers that be to help me go there more often, ie, carve more time in my day to meditate, to experience peace and calm equanimity.
