Gameplay of Jet Squelcher COB-R on splat zones. This kit was quite fun to play and unlike the other kits it has, this kit give its another way of supporting the team as well as apply aggro pressure. Jet Squelcher is a long range weapon that does solid damage, is quite accuracy, solid mobility, and solid paint output. The kit is quite good. Burst bomb is a sub weapon that will immediately explode when coming in contact with a surface or opponent. The explosion will deal damage and paint the area a bit. And triple splashdown is a special weapon that when activated, you jump into the air summoning two ink fists in front and to each side of you. Once you reach the apex of your jump, you'll then starting crashing down along with the two fist to the ground, causing the huge explosion on impact. Now I want to talk about the strength and weakness of this weapon and it's kit. The weapon can poke and apply pressure from a safe distance. And although the paint output isn't that good compare to other shooters, you can safety paint the terrain. And unlike other weapon with similar range to Jet Squelcher, this weapon has solid mobility, so the weapon can evade a bit faster compare to other long range weapon. Burst bomb is good for dealing some poke damage, which combos quite well with your main weapon. The paint is leave is good for quick movement and since it quite cheap to use, you can throw two of them. And triple splashdown is good for defending yourself in up-close encounters as well as applying some pressure when pushing up. Even if you get taken out, if enemies are within range of the two fist, you still get a bit of value from your special. The explosion deal massive damage and cover quite a bit of area. And if you position yourself at a certain position, you can summon the fists over wall and even of ledges if you jump and activate it at the peak of the jump. But the weapon can still struggle in up-close encounter since the DPS isn't super fast. The weapon is also a bit ink hungry. This also make can make it struggle a bit when fighting other long range weapon, especially against chargers. Burst bomb isn't a sub that you should be spamming a lot. The sub can leave you very low on ink if you spam them and recovering ink can take a bit due to the white ink frames. And you have to be quite up-close to get some value with the triple splashdown. This can make approaching a bit predictable if your trying to use the special to push up. You can also get shot down when activating your special. The few second that you're vulnerable is enough for mid to long range to take you out and minimize the value of the special. So when playing Jet Squelcher COB-R, you want to focus on controlling and apply a bit of pressure from safe distance. Burst bomb can help you displace opponent and deal some poke damage around corners and if you have your special ready, you can use triple splashdown to stop opponent who get too close.
