We don't know much about the future world where people need to visit "Kinotels". But we know that going to the cinema has radically changed. It has become a computer directed kind of intimate ritual during which people enter another reality and switch personality. In the time of Kinotels human relationships have lost intensity. People participate in Kinotel sessions to consume emotions recycled from the history of cinema. This is the enigmatic story of a man and a woman who visit a Kinotel.

The film KINOTEL works with the method of appropriation. Referring to "L' Année Dernière a Marienbad" by Resnais and "Solaris" by Tarkovsky, it is a short reflection about the nature of cinema. The word KINOTEL is a combination of "KINO", which means cinema in German and Russian, and "HOTEL", designating a place where people of a future society go to experience cinema.
