This is the arcade MegaPlay hardware release of the original Sonic. Again this is raw footage for a later 2020 summary video (as MegaPlay emulation was improved) I'm completely out of practice at this, so ended up continuing twice. There's no Marble Zone, no Labyrinth Zone, no Scrap Brain 3, no Special Stages, no extra lives (they just award points) and a strict timer on every level, but it does have a high score table..... Personally I feel this is the worst official version of Sonic 1, worse even than the GBA port, because as terrible as that was, it at least had all the levels.
