Educating for Professionalism

Professionalism in medical training is not a new idea; however, incorporating some aspects
of professionalism training in residency and fellowship programs can be challenging. We discuss
what professionalism means to us and if there is a need for more formal assessment and training for professionalism. The methods UWMC hematology pathology division is using to teach and evaluate
for professionalism will be shared in this talk for you to determine if similar components are appropriate for your curriculum.
