Ingredients:
Raw Banana: 2 Nos
Oil: 2 Tsp
Mustard Seeds: 1/4 Tsp
Urad Dhal: 1/4 Tsp
Channa Dhal: 1/4 Tsp
Dried Red Chillies: 1 Nos
Curry Leaves: Few
Green Chillies: 1 Nos
Garlic Cloves: 2 Nos
Onion: 1 Nos
Salt: 1/2 Tsp
Turmeric Powder: 1/4 Tsp
Chilli Powder: 1/4 Tsp
Grated Coconut: 1 Tbsp

Method:
1. Today lets check out how to make Vazhakka Puttu. This is a very special and delicious side dish that best goes with steamed rice. A very nutritious and healthy recipe, so lets quickly check out the ingredients and get started.
2. Heat a pan and to this add 3 cups of water. To this add 2 Raw Banana cut into halves with their ends chopped. To this add 1/2 tsp of salt. Let this cook for 5 minutes in medium flame.
3. After 5 minutes, the raw banana is well cooked and ready so remove the raw banana from the water. Allow it to cool a little. Then remove the skin and grate it into small pieces.
4. Heat a pan and to this add 2 tsp of oil. When the oil is hot, add 1/4 tsp of mustard seeds, 1/4 tsp of urad dhal and 1/4 tsp of channa dhal. Give it a quick mix. Then add 1 dried red chillies, few curry leaves, 1 green chilli chopped and 2 garlic cloves chopped. Mix it well. Then add 1 onion chopped . Mix it well.
5. Then to this add 1/2 tsp of salt, 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder and 1/4 tsp of chilli powder. Mix it well until the raw flavor of the spices goes off.
6. To this add the grated raw banana and mix it well. Make sure the spices are all well spread.
7. Finally add 2 tbsp of grated coconut and give it a quick mix and off the flame. Now our delicious vazhaka Puttu is ready. Serve it nice and hot with some steamed rice and enjoy with your family and friends.
