Weather Impact Alert: Winter weather advisory expands

The snow is coming down and will be giving us a slushy accumulation for some areas.

A winter weather advisory has been issued for Cuyahoga and Geauga counties through midnight (especially the eastern end of Cuyahoga County and the western end of Geauga County), and Lake County has also since been added to this. This is the area where a slushy coating up to possibly a few inches is possible this evening.

Our Weather Impact Alert Days today and tomorrow are highlighting the snow today and tonight with a return to rain and gusty winds Friday.

Wind gusts of 40-plus miles per hour will be likely later in the day.

The rain will continue into Saturday.

We're also going to be keeping a close eye on the forecast for next week with another winter storm system expected on or after Thanksgiving Day.
