How I handle an unexpected power outage during a workday in the tiny house.

We got a windstorm this week and I lost power to the tiny house in the middle of a work day...actually in the middle of a Zoom meeting.

Luckily I have a plan in place to handle that. I plugged my internet modem and my computer hub into my Bluetti AC50B which is a 700 watt power station (full disclosure, Bluetti sent it to me but my opinions are mine) and was able to get back up and running in less than 5 minutes.

If I had been paying attention to my weather app I'd have had everything already plugged into it and then the power station plugged into the wall so I would have been able to continue working uninterrupted when the power went down.

The Bluetti, like many battery power stations, has pass-through charging which means you can be using it while you charge it and it can switch from wall power to batter power so fast that you don't even notice it let alone get shut down.

I also show what I keep ready to go for water and lights so that I'm good when the grid goes down.

I've make other videos about being prepared that you can find in the preparedness playlist. I just wanted to give you a real look at what I do when the grid goes down when I'm not expecting it.
