Ever wanted to change the icon of a program you use? All you need is GIMP and a square image.

1) Open the image in GIMP. If it isn't square already, crop it
2) Scale it to 32 x 32 or 16 x 16 (these are 2 standard icon sizes)
3) Save it as any filename with the extension .ico

You can use icon files for actual icons on you desktop, or if you know how to code html, link to it as your favicon.
