SBC Water Pump Bypass? (Read Description for instructions) Vortec heads vs Traditional heads

Описание к видео SBC Water Pump Bypass? (Read Description for instructions) Vortec heads vs Traditional heads

Vortec SBC don't have the traditional coolant bypass, this video explains the difference and what you can easily do about it when using Vortec heads without drilling your block or heads.

Drilling thermostats 1/8 or 5/32 holes

- 1 to 2 holes if you have a bypass or heater core (prevents air pockets)

- 3 to 4 holes if you are not running a bypass or if you are using vortec heads. This prevents a swing in temperature before the thermostat opens. Helps prevent head cracks.
*I use 3 holes one my daily driven vortec truck

- Up to 6 holes only if you live in a hot climate, and should only be done after trying 4 holes and not getting the results you want. slow engine warm up may result
