Management of anaemia before colorectal cancer treatment

We held a virtual education event about the management of anaemia before colorectal cancer treatment. This event was developed to provide healthcare professionals with an overview of the importance and benefits of pre-operative anaemia management.

We heard from speaker Dr Ravishankar Rao Baikady, Consultant in Anaesthesia and Peri-operative Medicine, The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust.

This session covers the introduction of this treatment in the NHS, the different treatment modalities and patient outcomes, the role of colorectal clinical nurse specialists, as well as recent developments and the future of anaemia management.
