Are you as excited as I am for the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3?! I had to get a behind the scenes look at what everyone was calling Marvel’s first flop back in the day – obviously, they couldn’t have been more wrong. The MCU did right by continuing on with this iconic trilogy. There are a lot of things they do right with the VFX and CGI – especially when it comes to Rocket Raccoon. I’ll even get into a breakdown of the Chris Pratt doll – yeah, you heard that right, there is an actual, life size Chris Pratt doll that was made for this movie. It was made specifically for the scene where Karen Gillan is supposed to be carrying what looks like Star-Lord’s lifeless body, but obviously we can’t be too sure what exactly is going on. This movie is also super personal to the writer and director, James Gunn, as he takes a deeply emotional interest into Rocket’s story. The acting is also done by his brother, Sean Gunn, to add that extra layer of emotional intensity to the performance. I also can’t wait to get my hands on the blooper reel for this film because you know it’s gonna be fire – the vibes on this set are so good, you can tell they are all lifelong friends at this point.
