Dear diary
It's been a while since I've made an entry
but this thing always gets to me....
Years ago when I was young, my insecurities made me dumb
My bestfriend was more than love I could say anything and Diary you'd go above
The hours of conversation...the ways we'd make eachother laugh. before i could choose you, you'd chosen me.
My first kiss & it was a blast a little embarassing but fun when it comes to reminiscing
To do things all alone wasn't necessary the arms of the pen and pad were a second home even if things weren't scary
To look into the eyes of the one i seen as perfect I saw life.
The only one who'd really tell me the truth i tossed and turned into a fool
I've never apologized for breakin a heart, I could never do it on my own so I parted a true relationship over the phone
What was all in the mix had now parted because the strongest two were no more
I'm now a runaway for love because I'm not sure I could do it the best
To see you everyday hurt me in the worst way but in the begining I was never sure of myself, crying every-night because I thought I'd done what was right-- being selfless but in reality I was selfish because I never asked you or gave you the chance to decide.
Hiding behind emotions, a runaway, couldn't face the fear.....
Through it all you've helped me with a few things: learning to own up to my own, keeping a promise of being my friend-which is deeply appriciated, & staying in touch though we're far away...
More than deep am I sorry, I just ask that you forgive me.
