Biography: Bahauddin Baha (بهاءالدين بهاء )، (Jurist of Islamic law, author, poet, born in Herat Province, Afghanistan) was Deputy Chief Justice of the Afghan Supreme Court from 2006 to 2016. Baha also served as a Supreme Court Justice and member of the High Judicial Council of the Supreme Court during the 1980s.He graduated from Arabic Studies Center in Kabul in the year 1960 which was considered as an equivalent to bachelor’s degree by Al Azhar University. Baha after receiving specialization in Islamic Law in the year 1964 he later continued his education at master’s level in Bilford university of USA.
In 2002, Baha was appointed as the Chairman of the Independent Judicial Reform Commission. He was re-appointed to the Afghan Supreme Court in 2006. A former Supreme Court Justice, Justice Baha is a senior member of High Judicial Council of the Supreme Court and serves as the President of the Criminal Division of Supreme Court.He authored two books in Persian, حقيقت تصوف و بحثي از طريقهء نقشبنديه ( Reality of Tasawwuf & Explanation of Naqshbandiya Tariqa) and محمد (ص) پيامبر آزادي,( Muhammad (saws) as the Prophet of Liberty & Freedom)

Biography Dr.Marcia Hermansen became the Lady Fatima Chair in Women and Divinity at Habib University, Karachi in 2025. Previously she was professor of Islamic Studies and Religious Studies in the Theology Department at Loyola University Chicago. She received her Ph. D. in Arabic and Islamic Studies from the University of Chicago.Her thesis was published as "The Conclusive Argument from God: Shah Wali Allah’s Hujjat Allah al-Baligha". She writes on Islamic thought, Islam and Muslims in South Asia, Sufism, Muslims in America, and Women and Gender in Islam.
