Great Sand Dunes National Park - Piñon Flats Campground in 4K

4K driving through Piñon Flats campground in Great Sand Dunes National Park. In this campground tour, you can see all of the restrooms, the camp store, campsites, visitor center, dump station, fresh water fill station, and of course the sand dunes and surrounding mountains.

This video was taken in mid August and as you can see the wildflowers are in full bloom!

We camped here for two nights, and while camping, we were able to hike out to the dunes (straight from our campsite) with our dog. We also saw the milky way both nights, and we were in luck because there was a meteor shower happening during our visit.

You can rent sleds outside the park, and we saw many families sledding down the dunes. Our favorite time to go out to the dunes was sunset, when the sun wasn't so harsh and the sand on the dunes wasn't so hot. We even walked out to the dunes to see the stars! What a sight!
