Tread Softly | Songs and Everlasting Joy

Описание к видео Tread Softly | Songs and Everlasting Joy

We live in a largely busy world, noisy and fast moving. Some of us are blessed to not have that all the time! But as a whole, the world is loud. This hymn by Fanny Crosby, helps us to think of reverence, quietness, softness, hushed tones. We approach the God of the universe and when we do, can it be in loud, careless tones? I think not! Quietness, calmness, awe. Tread softly as you approach the King of Kings. We are privileged to be able to do so at all, us being so small and He so powerful. So let's do it in reverence.

Thank you to the lovely friend and listener who requested this song some time ago. May we all receive a blessing in its deep meaning.

Tread Softly

Verse 1
Be silent, be silent,
A whisper is heard;
Be silent, and listen,
Oh, treasure each word.

Chorus
Tread softly, tread softly,
The Master is here;
Tread softly, tread softly,
He bids us draw near.

Verse 2
Be silent, be silent,
For holy this place,
This altar that echoes
The message of grace.

Verse 3
Be silent, be silent,
Breathe humbly our prayer;
A foretaste of Eden
This moment we share.

Verse 4
Be silent, be silent,
His mercy record;
Be silent, be silent,
And wait on the Lord.
